Braga Barn

take a tour through 90 years of history

Come inside and tour one of our families most prized possessions, the Braga Barn. Our barn is filled with antique farming equipment and memorabilia from the Salinas Valley that has been collected for over 90 years.

The Braga family barn is a special place, built by Rod and Chris’ late father, Norman Braga. Norm had a passion for tractors and collecting historical memorabilia.

Not only is there an overwhelming amount of historical pieces in this barn, but it is often used now for hosting parties, customer trade tours, fundraisers, and local events.

Although the only way to get full understanding of this one of a kind place is in person with Rod or Chris sharing the background of each piece inside and out of the barn, below are some links to give you an idea.

Every which way you look there is a unique story to be told, a piece of Salinas Valley history or a portrait of the Braga family through the years.

Example of the historical pieces inside the barn: The bar was from the former “Doc Rickets” bar in Monterey that John Steinbeck frequented. So if you are drinking at that bar…it’s where John Steinbeck once drank too.
